Which Teacher to Choose?

When Being begins to question the nature of reality or identity, the question often arises: Which tradition, religion, book, or teacher should I turn to?In the early stages—when clarity and sensitivity are still emerging—the student perceives differences and contradictions between traditions. There is often a belief that the purpose of a non-dual teaching is to provide accurate, precise, and understandable information. But this confusion arises from the reliance of the seeker on conceptual reasoning, which—let us be clear—is not the same as true intelligence.
The true purpose of any authentic non-dual teaching is not to offer new concepts, but to support a reflection of your own nature. Like a mirror reflecting the one who looks into it, a genuine teaching points beyond words and mental constructs.
Beyond semantics and logic, there is a longing—a call of the divine. A call that transcends anything the brain or intellect could ever grasp, analyze, or describe. But Being—the awareness that encounters these teachings—has the opportunity to see itself and recognize its own nature.
Just as music doesn’t belong to a specific instrument—be it piano, guitar, or violin—and just as visual art doesn’t belong to oil paint, watercolor, or ink, the process of self-realization doesn’t belong to any one tradition. It is not the property of any lineage or form.
This journey is unique to each being. Traditions and teachers are here only to orient and support, not to define or contain the realization. The process itself belongs to the Being alone. You are the one who must come to realize: there is no you.
The cause of confusion is not faulty traditions or bad teachings, but simply a lack of sensitivity and clarity. The good news is that both are already within your experience—always waiting to be remembered and rediscovered.
As you do this, you reconnect with Life itself—with what you are, and what everything is. The only true way to choose the right tradition or teaching is to realize that the perspective from which you read or listen is more important than what you read.
This is your path. Walk it in the way that feels true to you. Listen to your deep intuition, and never convince yourself that it is impossible to realize what you already are.
